MOVA MeowgicPod LB10 Prime White

I backed this campaign on Kickstarter and own several other MOVA products, so I was excited about the automatic litter box. Mine arrived in October, and it’s impressive: great features, solid performance, and an app with useful data and controls. Design-wise, I think it’s the best-looking option compared to Litter Robot 3 and 4, Leo’s Loo Too, Neakasa, etc. all of which I've previously owned.

So why two stars? I’ve been out of deodorizing liquid for over a month and am now nearly out of waste bags. They’re unavailable on the website, and despite multiple contacts with support, I’ve gotten no clear answer, just repeated handoffs and requests for the same info. Accessories for a brand new $500 to $600 product shouldn’t be this hard to get. It raises concerns about long-term support, especially when reps seem unaware MOVA even makes a litter box.

If resolved, I’d gladly update this to four stars. But for now, buyer beware: accessories may not be available when you need them.

We received our unit about a month ago after the initial campaign ended. It came well packaged and was easy to assemble. Our cats immediately took to it and it is now their favorite toilet (we also have a Durobot and a CatGenie). So far, we are completely happy with it. Also, our cats love to sit and just watch it run!

Mine arrived yesterday, and I got it set up. A few thoughts:
1. It appears quite well made, and it was simple to assemble. Mine came with the deodorizing liquid, and the water fountain. The base assembly was easy. 4 pieces, and appears stable.
2. Some of the instructions for assembly were already done, like the litter pan. I understand that it is replaceable, which will be great in the long term.
3. I had trouble getting it on WiFi. I used a dedicated 2.4Ghz channel, but it only connected to iOS once, then when I moved the litter box into the room where it would be used, it lost that connection, and I couldn’t get it to connect again. Tried to delete it, repeat the process, etc. No luck. But, I was able to use Android to connect it, and it’s been working since.
4. I have 2 cats. One tried to use it while I was setting it up, and it’s now his preferred litter box. The other is still a bit scared of it, but will hopefully use it when it’s the option. My Pluto litter robot is just about trashed, and was not a great one to begin with. Hopefully the MOVA keeps more litter in the actual unit, not sprinkled around the mud room.
5. The app is good, and will provide a lot of control, and customization. I already received a firmware update.

All in all, very pleased with this, and I think it will be a definite upgrade to what we’ve been using. The Pluto uses a rocking motion to clear the box, and larger clumps simply stay in the main litter, not able to pass through, so we do a fair amount of scooping, too. On the MOVA, the exit window is larger, so this shouldn’t be a problem. Furthermore, the MOVA is set up for easy cleaning, whereas the Pluto is a royal pain to clean. Well done!
